AI / Technology Investment Strategies in the Era of US-China Trade War
With the advances of AI, a new economy is emerging. Due to the technological advances, innovative businesses are springing while traditional industries such as financial services, healthcare, automotive, agriculture, manufacturing are experiencing a renaissance moment
As an investor, this is most likely one of the most interesting moments in history. At the same time, such new optimism is clouded by the ongoing US-China trade war. The constant tug of war has created extreme volatility in the market and is creating a large hindrance against the potential benefits from AI. What would be a sound AI investment strategy in the era of the US-China trade war? In my session, we will be discussing the current CFIUS regulations, where it has been updated recently to restrict any foreign investment in advanced technologies. As a venture fund with a number of investors LP from Asia, we will be discussing our strategies in navigating against the restrictions. This is a transparent vehicle where investors -- both from the USA and abroad -- can safely invest in high-growth AI companies.
