Through this technology, people and companies can make major transactions without going through an intermediary, essentially eliminating a layer of bureaucracy and cost. Mark Kress brings valuable portfolio management expertise, a record of building strong relationships, and experience employing risk management and asset allocation strategies to maximize risk-adjusted returns. His unique background includes connecting investment partners, introducing technology solutions, and providing research to support decision-making.
Over the last five years Mark has consulted with both multi and single-family offices on sourcing alternative investments and portfolio management solutions. He recently ran a single-family office of an early cryptocurrency investor, building relationships with other family offices and Blockchain related funds. He got his start with the family office space in 2013 when he worked as an Investment Analyst with a multi-family office overhauling a legacy investment platform to a modern, efficient Addepar based system. From 2001 to 2011, Mark was a Portfolio and Risk Manager for the global team at Guggenheim Investments where he helped manage USD 1 billion in long/short, market neutral and long-only equity strategies.
Mark holds a BS in Managerial Economics from the University of California at Davis, an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
