Named as one of Family Capitals Top Ten Family Office Real Estate Professionals and as one of Trusted Insight’s Top 30 Family Office Real Estate Investors, DJ Van Keuren is a Vice President for a private Single Family Office. Previously, he was the Vice President for the Hayman Family Office, the Single Family Office of the Hayman Family, who was the Founder of Giorgio Perfume. Here he is responsible for family office capital and the real estate activities which support Hayman Properties, an affiliate of the Hayman Family Office. Other positions for family offices include being the Director of Family Office Capital for the Arsenal Family Office (SFO) working on their real estate portfolio and investments and Managing Director for the Jain Family Office (SFO), a real estate family out of Mumbai India. Over his 25 years’ of experience, he was the Managing Director of the American Dream Fund, a fund that was positioned to be the first Single Family REIT and has been responsible for the underwriting, and the placement of debt and equity of over USD 3 billion in real estate assets.
DJ is a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council, author of "Real Estate Investing for Family Offices," founder of The Family Office Real Estate Institute, The Family Office Real Estate Magazine, and is a frequent speaker at family office conferences around the world. Most recently DJ was a Family Wealth Alliance finalist for its Best in Industry Awards for Thought Leadership and Special Industry Contributions awards. DJ has been featured or quoted in such media as The New York Times, Family Office Elite, Real Asset Advisor, National Real Estate Investor, Private Wealth, PERE and Forbes. Mr Van Keuren is the past President of the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization and a prior Board Member for the Real Estate Academic Initiative at Harvard.
DJ received his BA from Ball State University, attended graduate studies in Real Estate from the NYU Schack Real Estate Institute, and received his Master's degree from Harvard University in Management and Finance.
