Since 2012, an increasing number of American citizens have given up their US citizenship. Internal and external forces affecting the USA in the future, may create an environment where an exit strategy is critical to maintaining a way of life. Having an exit plan in advance of needing to execute one, may provide families with the peace of mind that they are prepared for whatever the future holds, as some of the steps necessary to establish an acceptable lifestyle offshore take time. In this session, we will delve into:
• Renunciation and relinquishment
• Citizenship planning
• Tax implications of expatriation

John Prescott is the Managing Director, Family Office Services, where he is focused on accomplishing the personal and financial needs of high net worth individuals, families and family offices. John is an accomplished attorney with deep experience in the architecture and stewardship of family office and governance structures in the USA and internationally. John is involved in all dimensions of tax, trust and estate planning, with expertise in managing liquidity events, wealth transfer and citizenship planning and acquisition. He has a history of executing incredibly complex projects while at the same time managing the day to day needs of clients. John is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He received his JD from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
