Managing a TAR: How to Make It Data Driven and Fun!
TARs don’t have to be so clunky! With today’s technology they can be data driven, interactive and fun even at the management level.
Efficiently utilizing your schedule data can save your company millions of dollars over night. Don’t continue to rely on your scheduling software to communicate the picture. The use of data warehousing and modern visual software can help you manage more efficiently and have fun doing it. You can even make it mobile!
This session will walk through a real life, interactive example using the add on technology. It will show you how we interacted with our schedule using data from a recent TAR that will revolutionize your TARs.
Speaker Bio
Jared Oakley graduated from McNeese State University in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career at Sasol in 2001 as a Project Manager. In 2006, he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor and then in 2008 started managing TARs. Other than a stint in the optimization group in 2011, he has remained Sasol’s TAR manager.
Jared has managed over 15 TARs in his career. Over the past couple of years, he has been building a company governance model or a TAR Management Process. This process will be used to execute TARs across a growing complex.
