Mexico: An Energy Industry in Transition
In 2013, the Mexican government enacted sweeping reform of its energy market, allowing private enterprises the opportunity to participate in a market controlled by PEMEX for decades. From exploration to midstream to retail, the reform touched every aspect of the supply chain. What has happened since the reform has taken place? Has it been successful and achieved its goals? How has the reform been impacted by the new left leaning government of President Obrador? This session will explore these topics and many more.

Speaker Bio
Luis Delgado is the Director of Sales and Business Development for Mexico and Latin America for Delek US. He is currently based in Dallas, TX, where he leads the export products team. Luis spends most of his time in Mexico with current customers, prospect customers and government entities. Born in Texas and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, he is a fully bilingual and multi-cultural USA and Mexican Citizen. He received his BBA from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. Prior to Delek US, Luis spent five years as a Senior Business Manager for Union Pacific Railroad, also involved in cross-border and oil and gas commercial duties.
